The HW250STB model allows you to record TV shows directly to a USB 2.5" or 3.5" external hard drive, which you can then playback on your TV or computer. It's important to note that USB flash drives are not recommended for the recording function.

The HW250STB can also serve as an additional TV tuner for your TV. If your TV does not have a built-in tuner, this converter box can act as a receiver for over-the-air TV channels. Even if your TV already has a tuner, you can use this box to record a different channel while watching another.

Setting up the HW250STB is straightforward, as you can connect it to your TV using HDMI, composite, or coaxial ports.

This product does not work with TIVO or cable companies like Comcast, DirecTV, DISH Network, Time Warner Cable, etc. It is not compatible with encrypted cable signals in general.

It's important to note that this product only works with ATSC 1.0 and 2.0 signals, and it is compatible with the USA, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, and Suriname. For other countries, please check the local TV signal before purchasing.

For the best recording experience, it's recommended to use a USB 2.0 or 3.0 external hard drive with a capacity of up to 4TB (2TB is recommended). USB flash drives may not provide a smooth recording experience. The recorded videos are in MTS format, which can be played back on a computer as well.
